Raising the profile of the meat industry in the Eastern Region

A recent survey has suggested that buying local produce is very much in the consciousness of consumers, with 30% of those surveyed claiming to have specifically purchased locally produced food in the last month.

C&K Group are proud to be the drivers of a campaign to raise the profile of the meat industry in the Eastern region through a project called Glocal Pride – Proud to think global and act local.

Glocal Pride brings together a community of 1500 local livestock producers to promote the benefits of keeping all processes of the industry local with the aim to build on East Anglian rural heritage and to grow and strengthen the identities of locally branded products. Pride, it is felt, is a theme that runs through the whole supply chain from farmer and breeder to butcher and chef and the Glocal Pride stamp recognises the best of locally produced meat and those connected with it.

The Glocal Pride brand represents meat producers across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
